Chris Roberts
Hey! I’m Chris and I teach many instruments here at CMC: percussion, bass, guitar, drums, ukulele, mandolin, violin, piano, theory, basically anything with sticks or strings!
I started playing the ukulele at three years old and by the age of six was playing the guitar and drums. I was in the junior symphony at age eight at the Blair School of music and while on scholarship studied classical percussion, guitar, and theory until I graduated. I started performing professionally at age 15, playing drums for a local band.
While attending Auburn University, I studied percussion on a full scholarship and after I graduated toured all over the world and was continuously a studio player during that time. In 2000 I came off the road and started teaching full time and have been doing so for the last 22 years.
I like to say I dedicate the way I teach to the wellbeing of my students, as well as their musical education.
