What is Kindermusik? Kindermusikâ is a unique, highly creative
program of music learning that nurtures the development of children from
birth to 7 years of age. Kindermusik
is a gently structured, flexible curriculum that allows the child to learn
and develop at his or her own pace—it is not a “toddler prep school” that
pushes young children to learn. The
goal isn’t necessarily to make your child a musician, but to make you child
more eager to learn, more awake and wholly alive in the world. Kindermusik
classes involve children in singing and movement, chanting, playing simple
instruments, and listening purposefully.
The natural creativity of a child’s mind is stimulated in a learning
environment where the emphasis is on process, not performance. Kindermusik
curricula have been designed by early childhood education specialists for
specific age groups and developmental levels.
Classes are structured, yet fun; they encourage individual development
while strengthening group interaction skills.
Parent/child bonding is enhanced as parents participate with their
children in class, and later at home with Kindermusik books and CDs. Kindermusik
opens up the world of music and learning to children at the beginning of
life. It is a positive and engaging
experience which introduces them to lifelong learning. Kindermusik
strongly believes that the child’s development is greatly enhanced by making
the arts in general, and music in particular, an integral part of family
