parent evaluations “Megan & I
both look forward to coming back to class—we always have fun. I’m excited because I get to be included at
least one more class until she goes off by herself!” --Abbey mom of Megan, age 2 ½ “What my child
and I have enjoyed most about Kindermusik is integrating music into many
aspects of our life. [We] love the
materials that come along with class.” --mom of a Winter 2002 student “At home Nate
shows me he is learning to enjoy music by dancing, requesting that music be
played, and by selecting the particular music he wants to hear. Nate really looks forward to coming to
class every week!” --Walt dad of Nate, age 2 ½ “Tag loves the song where you ‘walk, walk,
walk & stop on a dot’. He
sings/plays that all the time at home!”
--Christy mom of Tag, age 3 ½ “What we have
enjoyed most about Kindermusik is the variety of ways to enjoy different instruments,
activities, & other people while learning through music. [Our children] show us they are learning to
enjoy music by singing all of the time and asking me to sing every night.” --Suzanne mom of and Kayla, age 2 “I wanted to take
this opportunity to comment on how convinced we are that Kindermusik has
truly helped both of our children as they have grown up and into the Waldorf
school programs including math and music.
Both of our kids began taking Kindermusik at the age of three. Our oldest son Avery is now nine years old
and he took your classes all the way through the “Young Child” program. When it came time for him to take up the
violin in the 3rd grade, he was an immediate success. He did not have to struggle with learning
how to read notes; he already knew all that.
He only had to learn the feel of the new instrument. He was also not intimidated by the
instrument as he had tried and learned such a variety of instruments in the
Kindermusik program. He was simply
eager to pick it up and try it out. Our youngest
daughter is only 6 and just entering 1st grade. With her we’ve noticed that she uses
rhythms when she is working with math & counting. She is also quite comfortable singing into
a microphone, even though she is basically a very shy child. We attribute her comfort level with singing
to her early successes in Kindermusik.” --Beth
