Kindermusik at the Creative Music Center-- Imagine That!

Today he’s a cowboy or artist. Tomorrow she’s a doctor or musician. Kindermusik Imagine That! takes you and your child on an incredible musical journey of discovery and exploration…a journey that is limited only by the power of imagination. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing your preschooler’s vocal development as her expressive language is just beginning to emerge. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s potential to learn and to encourage her cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality.

Imagine That! classes are 45-50 minute classes once a week, designed for children to participate on their own for 30-35 minutes and then in sharing time with their families for 10-15 minutes each week. This winter’s unit is Cities! Busy Places ~ Friendly Faces.

In this unit, sidewalks, elevators, skyscrapers, and world-travelling photographers are the theme in this unique preschool Kindermusik program. Learning through the pretend play that your preschooler adores, we'll be rhythmically busy playing storytelling games and handcrafting city "buildings" from paper boxes at home so we can make a cityscape in class! Plus every activity has some at-home adaptations so you can take part in the learning. With a pair of resonator bars as a featured instrument, and a multi-cultural, jazzy collection of music, your preschooler will develop the social and intellectual skills he'll need in school.
